Pacific Northwest Ballet – A Sensory Accessible Season

At Sensory Access we have worked with many theatrical productions over the years, from Sensory Friendly productions to entire Sensory-accessible Broadway season.  This is our first year creating a Sensory Accessible Ballet season, and as a former (amateur) ballerina myself, I could not be more thrilled to assist in making the intricate and beautiful productions of Pacific Ballet Northwest accessible to all. PNB’s season this year includes the classics Romeo et Juliet as well as the iconic Swan lake – and amazing new works such as Plot Points, coming up in March.  We are excited to work on another PNB Sensory Friendly production as well, after the success of the Sensory-Friendly Nutcracker…a Sensory-Friendly production of Beauty and the Beast! Stay tuned !
“A highlight for many of us was PNB’s first-ever sensory-friendly Nutcracker on December 21. Guidance from Dr. Daniela Ferdico at Sensory Access led us to make modifications around light and sound levels, add lobby and sensory amenities, offer sensory packs, and provide guides [or guidance?] to the experience so that any guest with sensory processing needs could join us for The Nutcracker and feel truly at home.” Ellen Walker, Executive Director, Pacific Northwest Ballet
