Sensory Access at Capitol Hill Block Party Festival

This was the second year that Sensory Access was able to volunteer and provide Sensory accessibility at Capitol Hill Block Party Festival in Seattle.  Nestled near downtown on Capitol Hill, the music festival closes off several streets and features a wide variety of artists from local PNW favorites to top artists such as Lizzo. Being in a city creates a lot of sensory challenges for this music festival, but we were happy to be able to provide a tented area for those with sensory difficulties to get away from the sounds and sights and take a sensory break. In between hugely popular sets by Lizzo, Rl Grime and Phantogram, those who needed a sensory break came and hung out in our inflatable canoes, relaxed on comfy seating while blocking out sounds with our noise-reducing headphone, and utilized our fidgets to reset a bit. The seating, noise-reducing headphones or fidgets?
