About this Event
Do you find yourself inundated with holiday stress every year? If so, you are not alone. For many, the holidays can be emotionally taxing. Whether it’s the financial toll, never-ending to-do lists, overwhelming social obligations, complicated family dynamics, or being apart from loved ones, sometimes the “most wonderful time of the year” can feel quite like the opposite.
We know 2020 has been particularly challenging, which is why this year, we want to help you beat the holiday blues and bring some joy back into the season. Whether you are looking for general tips for battling the emotional fatigue that comes during the holidays or you are in recovery and worried about triggers, we invite you to join us for this free virtual mental health workshop. Just because this year has brought us its fair share of angst, doesn’t mean your holidays have to follow suit.
Led by two licensed mental health and addiction treatment clinicians, this workshop will cover:
- Maintaining holiday traditions
- Managing finances
- Time management
- Practicing self-care
- Safeguarding sobriety and preventing relapse
- Supporting family members in recovery
Due to the nature of this event, we do not anticipate any sensory issues. We suggest keeping your volume and brightness levels accessible.
